For immediate release – 11/2/09?Men’s Lacrosse Announces Captains for 2010 Season?Khouri, Farrell and Butler Chosen to Lead the Hornets in the Spring

LYNCHBURG, VA -  The men’s lacrosse team chose three senior leaders, Aaron Khouri (Memphis, TN/MUS), Ethan Farrell (Nantucket, MA/Nantucket), and Ryan Butler (Belle Meade, NJ/Montgomery), as captains for the spring 2010 season.  These three players have demonstrated an unyielding commitment to the team, as well as strong leadership skills, throughout their careers at LC.

Khouri is a senior midfielder who has seen constant action on Shellenberger field the past three years.  Last spring, Khouri was the team’s sixth leading scorer, tallying 11 goals.  Aaron is the son of Michael and Sandra Khouri, and he is a marketing major.

Farrell is a senior midfielder who looks to finish off his college career remaining a continual threat to all LC opponents.  Farrell scored 16 goals, added 10 assists, and scooped up 41 groundballs last season.  Ethan is the son of Paul Farrell and Lucy Bixby, and he is a physics major and a math minor.

Butler is a senior defender who found the field in 13 games last spring.  Ryan is the son of Tom and Lisa Butler, and he is a communications major with a minor in political science.

The action begins for the men’s lacrosse team in mid-February.  These three senior captains will strive to lead the team in bringing home an ODAC championship and competing for the National Championship.
