Kevin Watson

Kevin Watson has played varsity lacrosse at Montgomery High School for 4 years, covering both midfield and attack as needed. He’s earned numerous accolades for his role in the MHS 2007 Championship Season, helping the team capture both the State Group 3 title and the Somerset County title; but he may be most proud of the back to back goals he scored in a 2007 TOC victory that helped bring the team back from a 5 point deficit. Both goals were scored off feeds from his brother, Steve, now a freshman on the Rutgers lacrosse team.  Loyalty, team, hard work, and fun are key components of his success, on and off the lacrosse field.  Kevin and the other seniors have been a part of the steady rise of MHS lacrosse, earning a state semi-final berth and county championship in their freshmen year, a state finals berth their sophomore year and the State Championship & Somerset County championship their junior year.  Each year, his contributions, not only goals and assists, have increased as well.

Kevin brings enthusiasm, athleticism and a strong desire to win every game he plays.  In addition to lacrosse, he’s had some success on the football field as well.  During his tenure as the quarterback of the MHS football team, Kevin passed for over 5000 career yards, thrown 42 touchdowns passes and scored 11 more on the ground. The MHS football team posted a 9-2 record in 2007, a dramatic turnaround from the previous record of 3-7. That turnaround represents the leadership, drive and commitment Kevin brings to all athletic contests.  He earned a host of awards for his football success in 2007 and would like to close out his high school career with a repeat of the lacrosse team’s 2007 Championship Season.

Kevin signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his football career at Holy Cross in Worcester, MA.
